Bat Bunnies is a ridicules story about vampires doing good if that was possible they wouldn’t be feared by mankind in myth and legend but not at all like that other comic Space Vampires, mine is less glam and more slam. I have been a fan of Bone by Jeff Smith since I started reading it early in its publication around issue 7 and really like his animated style, a real pro at squash and bounce and a former animator of the Jettson’s.
I have always liked vampires ever since my late Dad told me scary stories about them living in castles and him pretending to be one to scare me half to death at bed time stories.
The main comic BB is based on rescue and adventure such as a fairy tail where the princess is captured denied and and held hostage by at least two evil’s the main story is that the princess can get herself out of any near death experiences and when with her family of a father and 3 vampire rabbits she is near enough indestructible
I think my adolescence has a say in how I make comics now with favourite album covers and science fiction films me and my brother would watch on Friday nights has now come into my stories and comics where I hope to do something new for myself and any fans I might have after the 30 years I have done them off and on with always trying to say something that is a science fiction tale. The art is more of a style than epic landscapes with digital colouring and is simple black and white just how I like it, I have liked black and white and a colour cover ever since I learnt to read and that comic was Snoopy.
My black and white art in general has more detail and is quicker to do if you are telling a longer story that's why I do my comics in black and white for there to be more detail to the art in single panels rather than a colour page even though I do colour covers I really like black and white and I can convey enough theatre and dynamics much more fluently.
