My presentation went well all considering it wasn't in person


BAT BUNNIES SLIDES PRESENTATION 27/11/20


My project title is Bat Bunnies and is a comic book revolving around the adventures of the father and daughter and the three bunnies in space usually flying from one disaster after the next

Slide 1 and 2   

Starting with a montage of the early story up to about page 11 I did 2 promotional posters for the story so far showing the overall picture of the story in one piece and completed 3 in total so far

I did a picture of all the characters concluding who would be in the comic from the vampire family to their enemies

The rest of the drawings for this are the latest finished pages where Grenda the vampire princess escapes from the enemy and helps rescue the Bat Bunnies 


Story brief

The THREE rabbits are in a deep sleep which was put on them after Grenda the vampire princess was rescued from slime in the tall tower and rescued by the Bat Bunnies, all this was a result of the dying evil king who put a curse on Grenda now she has broken the spell and then escapes the evil curse returning to her fathers ship where she will try and get the Bunnies to wake up….


How I do my art

I am drawing everything in pencil and then inking it in and using water colour for the colour covers

I plan to do another twenty to thirty pages for one comic book and concluded story

My method is trying to get the art to look finished and consistent with all the pages in the comic


Out come

I plan to submit the whole project digitally for my Final Major Project and will be doing further covers digitally

  Bat Bunnies is a ridicules story about vampires doing good if that was possible they wouldn’t be  feared by mankind in myth and legend but not at all like that other comic Space Vampires, mine is less glam and more slam.   I have been a fan of Bone by Jeff Smith since I started reading it early in its publication around issue 7 and really like his animated style, a real pro at squash and bounce and a former animator of the Jettson’s. I have always liked vampires ever since my late Dad told me scary stories about them living in castles and him pretending to be one to scare me half to death at bed time stories.   Quotes from pdf This was the very first page of my comic I quite like the comparsion and the shapes of the space ship in relation to the Rabbits ears.    Another successful comic book has to be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles also a black and white book and with or without shading noir art really does work well in many realms a bit like original television was in black and white there is something more real than adding a lot of colour but most comics have a colour cover and are now done on computer graphics and I really feel that pen and ink really has it’s place for feel and overall appeal.  FEED BACK  Hey Chris,  Fun work.
